We ride up river to town. Then the climbing started in earnest. Lungs keep looking for more oxygen. Herd of alpacas and more geese. At noon I am just getting to 15000 ft. The coast and down time have taken their toll. At 3 finally get to the pass at 16180 ft it was a long 12 miles. We are wanting to drop altitude to camp, so we cruise down. Keep stopping to look at the glacial covered peak. At only 14800 the shadow and cold have us camp. Lani spot an interesting critter (Viscacha).
Love and kisses
Steve
